If you thought only the beers and girls in “dirndl” are big here in Bavaria / Munich then think again. This year a new contest called “Big in Bavaria” will take part during the brand new and international Bike Expo here in Munich. The contest will be held on Saturday and Sunday the 25. und 26. July at the new munich trade fair centre. The dirt jump contest (bmx as well as mtb!) will be massive in scale and competitors. Markus Hampl will help design and build the park, so no messing around!

Confirmed Riders already include Cory Nastazio, James Foster, Luke Parslow, Ryan Guettler, Ryan Nyquist, Dave Dillewaard, Corey Bohan, Alejandro Caro and Cameron White. But I guess theres more to come.

Apart from the BMX dirt jump contests, a BMX flatland show, as well as an extensive evening program including DJ sets and live music (live act t.b.c.) will put a sweet end to the day. For more info go to: www.bike-expo.com

We dug up this Bio out of 1994 of one, if not the main man behind SOUL BMX Video.

Thomas has always been going strong, never holding back anything. You can tell this by his progression and the scars he gathered along the way.

As a father to two boys he is not only still well into riding but also runs AllRide Distro and together with his wife the 360grad Bmx Shop in Munich.

I once read in an interview about Thomas (Ride UK or DIG, can´t remember) that the author ( I think it was Markus Wilke) knows no one who is more into Bmx than Thomas.
