Yo! The first BIG IN BAVARIA Dirt Contest went down yesterday and it was a good one. At first it looked like it was going to be rained off, but then the sky cleared up and after some discussions about the wind the riders started hitting the jumps.

Some Highlights were definately Josh Hult´s huge Superman-Tailwhips, TJ Ellis´s Flip-Variations or the stylish clicked Lookdowns and 360-Tabletops of german Simon Moratz.

In the end a very stoked Simon Moratz came in third, TJ Ellis (after a very very good last run!) came in second and Brandon Dosh took the crown home to the US. Congratulations!!

Yes, you read it right. soulbmx.tv has the honour to be the official media partner of the massive BIG IN BAVARIA Dirtjump contest at the Bike Expo in Munich. We will bring you the action first hand, live and direct!

If you can´t make it to Munich you won´t have to sit at home and cry! Get yourself a cool drink, install a beamer, crank up the Volume and get ready for some pretty tight stuff to go down. With high profile Riders on the list such as Alejandro Caro, Ryan Guettler, Dave Dilleward and Anthony Napolitan the Comp is gonna be amazing. And to bring you the cream of the crop you can watch the BMX Finals of the comp on Saturday, 25.07.2009  from, 6:30 pm (CET) HERE ON soulbmx.tv !!

Only a few more days to go and the massive dirt jumps at the Big in Bavaria Contest will be shredded by the likes of Cameron White (AUS/Mongoose), Corey Bohan (AUS/Giant), Dave Dillewaard (AUS/GT), Josh Stead (AUS), Luke Parslow (AUS/Forgotten Bikes), Ryan Guettler (AUS/MirraCo), Alejandro Caro (COL/wethepeople) and many more.

The Contest will take place during the 1st. Bike Expo here in Munich, Riem. If you register beforehand at www.bike-expo.com online you will get free Tickets for the 2 days that are open to the public, Saturday 25th and Sunday the 26.th of July for the BIKE EXPO as well as the BIG IN BAVARIA contest. You also will automatically take part in the price draw of  the  BIKE EXPO with prices from  PG Bikes, Maloja, Zweibrüder Optoelectronics, Alpina International and Innov8.

This will be a very special contest combining BMX and MTB and also give the visitors insight into the bike market and its new trends. Oh, and of course there will be a aftershow Party

If you thought only the beers and girls in “dirndl” are big here in Bavaria / Munich then think again. This year a new contest called “Big in Bavaria” will take part during the brand new and international Bike Expo here in Munich. The contest will be held on Saturday and Sunday the 25. und 26. July at the new munich trade fair centre. The dirt jump contest (bmx as well as mtb!) will be massive in scale and competitors. Markus Hampl will help design and build the park, so no messing around!

Confirmed Riders already include Cory Nastazio, James Foster, Luke Parslow, Ryan Guettler, Ryan Nyquist, Dave Dillewaard, Corey Bohan, Alejandro Caro and Cameron White. But I guess theres more to come.

Apart from the BMX dirt jump contests, a BMX flatland show, as well as an extensive evening program including DJ sets and live music (live act t.b.c.) will put a sweet end to the day. For more info go to: www.bike-expo.com
