We DO go out our way to present you interesting and fresh stuff out of our BMX-Universe: A few years back SOULBMX Video Magazine went to M.A.R.S.* to get you first hand footage of the habitants there. We found little green men jumping round in moonboots, buildung funny looking curvy stuff, wearing strange hairdos and talking funny.
Who did we meet? Only so much: Did you know the amazing Paul Osicka lived on MARS??
Enjoy and prepare for landing…
*P.S. M.A.R.S. stands for “moderne anstalt rigoroser spakker” and was initialy started as a project to create a peaceful, spiritually oriented, artistic, spontaneous and vegetarian healthy lifestyle community somewhere in the woods of Germany. It should form the basis for a desirable self-sufficiency in the community. A well known Artist, Thomas D of the “Fantastischen Vier” started this project with a bunch of friends. Amonst these are BMXers Markus “Kalle” Arnoldy and Phillip Jacober. Since then a music studio has been set up and a Allstar Band has emerged from M.A.R.S. If you are interested in the project go here.

Watching this clip always makes me feel good. I spent about 6 months in Madrid a few years ago and this clip always brings back good memories. Amazing spots, very cool people and the food and weather to match it.This clip gives you small impression of what to expect if you ever go there.
But check this for yourself:

As the weather is shit and f*** cold over here in Germay we were thinking of sunny days and places we would rather be. One of the places would defo be California or TX. So we dug our crates and found an ancient road trip to TX and Cali we did in 2000. This vid has more living legends in it than you could shake a stick at: Ruben Alcantara, Joe Simon, Ryan Corrigan, Stew Johnson, Brian Foster, Shaun Butler, Corey Nastazio, Vic Murphy and a very very young Chase Hawk… do you want me to go on?? I won´t even start on the spots (9th street, sheep hills, street in SD, …)
As far as I can remember the german crew consisted of Markus Wilke, Thomas Stellwag, Sören Jacobs, Marcin Stypulowski and Thomas Fritscher.
Check this one out and do yourself a favor and plan a trip there!

Door #2: This one is a good one. Ha! The Sheffield Scene Report. Joe Cox edited this one and it was featured in Soul BMX Video #20 back in 2004. It was a real head-turner as it came out and definately put Sheffield and sourroundings on the BMX Map (outside of England). There is some good street riding and good spots in here. This video kind of lead up to Joe Cox´s Masterpiece of “Voices” where numerous riders in this video appeared again. And you know something really weird: I spotted a break on one of the bikes … !
Well Well its getting damn cold! Clicking through the soulbmx.tv video archive I stumbled across the Comp Quick Spin we did. It features the comps of the Summer of 2008. The riders list includes nearly everybody since we went everywhere … well, nearly.
