I recently visited a friend in Amsterdam which brought back some memories of the Homemade Jam the guys of soulcycle used to organise around the millenium. The one in 2002 was fantastic. Tons of high profile riders showed up starting from Corey Martinez to Matt Berringer to Van Homan or European killers such as Hannu Cools or Barry Khöne.
But one name in particular stood out above all others and that was Mike Aitken. He was hitting everything in sight at full speed and going higher than anybody else, clicked as hell. The 180-drop of the wallride into the quarter was nuts and in the end he pulled it. Since then Mike has had an awful crash which he is gradually recovering from. I guess you all have heared about it. If you want to know more or want to help Mikey out, then please go visit www.mikeaitken.com.
So. Enjoy this clip and stare in amazement!

As the weather is shit and f*** cold over here in Germay we were thinking of sunny days and places we would rather be. One of the places would defo be California or TX. So we dug our crates and found an ancient road trip to TX and Cali we did in 2000. This vid has more living legends in it than you could shake a stick at: Ruben Alcantara, Joe Simon, Ryan Corrigan, Stew Johnson, Brian Foster, Shaun Butler, Corey Nastazio, Vic Murphy and a very very young Chase Hawk… do you want me to go on?? I won´t even start on the spots (9th street, sheep hills, street in SD, …)
As far as I can remember the german crew consisted of Markus Wilke, Thomas Stellwag, Sören Jacobs, Marcin Stypulowski and Thomas Fritscher.
Check this one out and do yourself a favor and plan a trip there!
