    #6 soulbmx.tv advent calender

    December 7th, 2009

a_calender_6In Germany the 6th of December means one thing: Nikolaus is coming. And for bad kids it means “Krampus” is coming. Nikolaus brings you presents if you have been nice and obedient but if you are a rebel and don´t do what your parents, teachers etc. tell you then Krampus will come with his stick and beat the shit out of you. So. Since all BMXers we know of are more of the 2nd kind we thought it might be appropriate that we kick the shit out of you guys ;-)

suicide_30And therefore we will show you some of the worst slams all documented in the soulbmx.tv” Suicide” archive. Here is only one example…

So next year around… be obidient!!

    #5 soulbmx.tv advent calender

    December 7th, 2009

a_calender_5Well well… whats up next. We picked a Bio out of our crates today. It is of Mr. Ryan Guettler. One of the upcoming starts around the millenium. Amazing rider from down under showing everybody how it is done. On dirt, street or sometimes on ramps. Nuff said, check this Bio out they did for SOUL BMX Video Magazine a few years back. 9 Minutes of Action and interesting Facts.

    bio_guettlerCheck it outta!

    #4 soulbmx.tv advents calendar

    December 4th, 2009

a_calender_4I recently visited a friend in Amsterdam which brought back some memories of the Homemade Jam the guys of soulcycle used to organise around the millenium. The one in 2002 was fantastic. Tons of high profile riders showed up starting from Corey Martinez to Matt Berringer to Van Homan or European killers such as Hannu Cools or Barry Khöne.

homemade_jamBut one name in particular stood out above all others and that was Mike Aitken. He was hitting everything in sight at full speed and going higher than anybody else, clicked as hell. The 180-drop of the wallride into the quarter was nuts and in the end he pulled it. Since then Mike has had an awful crash which he is gradually recovering from. I guess you all have heared about it. If you want to know more or want to help Mikey out, then please go visit www.mikeaitken.com.

So. Enjoy this clip and stare in amazement!

    #3 soulbmx.tv advent calendar

    December 3rd, 2009

a_calender_3As the weather is shit and f*** cold over here in Germay we were thinking of sunny days and places we would rather be. One of the places would defo be California or TX. So we dug our crates and found an ancient road trip to TX and Cali we did in 2000. This vid has more living legends in it than you could shake a stick at: Ruben Alcantara, Joe Simon, Ryan Corrigan, Stew Johnson, Brian Foster, Shaun Butler, Corey Nastazio, Vic Murphy and a very very young Chase Hawk… do you want me to go on?? I won´t even start on the spots (9th street, sheep hills, street in SD, …)

cali_roadtripAs far as I can remember the german crew consisted of Markus Wilke,  Thomas Stellwag, Sören Jacobs, Marcin Stypulowski and Thomas Fritscher.

Check this one out and do yourself a favor and plan a trip there!

    #2 soulbmx.tv advent calendar

    December 2nd, 2009

a_calender_2Door #2: This one is a good one. Ha! The Sheffield Scene Report. Joe Cox edited this one and it was featured in Soul BMX Video #20 back in 2004. It was a real head-turner as it came out and definately put Sheffield and sourroundings on the BMX Map (outside of England). There is some good street riding and good spots in here. This video kind of lead up to Joe Cox´s Masterpiece of “Voices” where numerous riders in this video appeared again. And you know something really weird: I spotted a break on one of the bikes … !

scene_sheffieldSo. Check this on out and enjoy!
