Open Dutch BMX Dirt Jump Championships

    June 7th, 2010

onk2010posterwebYo! Bart asked us to post this info for all of you out there. Read it and get ur ass over there:

It doesn’t matter where you’re from to enter the Open Dutch Dirt championships that are on the calendar for Sunday 13 June 2010. It’s an open event for everyone who wants to ride a dirt comp. If you’re used to ride one of the jams in the South, prepare for something different. We won’t be giving out prizes to random tricks done on the course, this is serious shit. Registration, practice times, judges, single runs, MC, are you getting nervous yet? The top three will be receiving a huge prize package donated by the sponsors of the event but you will have to go out and show what you’ve got this time.

The Helm Trails have received some new dirt and the locals and friends are working hard on the makeover. It’s looking good already. Practice for the event will be possible on a daily basis from 17:00hr - 19:00hr. leading up to the comp so get your tricks dialled before it’s time for your run. On the day itself, practice is possible from Noon - 14:15hr. The championships kick off at 14:30hr. We’re also throwing in a long distance competition this time. You will have to get those leg muscles spinning to reach the longest distance possible over a little kicker jump with a flat landing. This should get interesting.

Now where is this place? TomTom owners, type in Helmond, Netherlands. Street: Johannes Vermeerlaan. The trails are underneath the cycling bridge in Helmond Noord. Next to the new canal. Follow the signs if you have a hard time finding it, or better, print a routeplanner now and don’t get lost.

    Program:
    Registration: 12 - 13:00hr
    Practice: 12 - 14:15hr
    Start Contest: 14:30hr

Starting time Long distance jumping championships: 16:30hr.

    Location: Helm Trails
    Johannes Vermeerlaan, Helmond, Netherlands

Zwanzig Jam @ Iltis Park, Berlin/Germany

    May 20th, 2010

screenilitsparkThe infamous Highway to Hill jam went down at the relocated Mellowpark in Berlin, Germany last weekend. But before the jam was supposed to kick of on Saturday, Zwanzig Magazine held a jam at the Iltis Park just across the street.

Some good riding went down, so check out our edit for more.
Unfortunately the Highway to Hill was rained out the following day, but the new site looks amazing and you can expect some big things in the near future.

New Video: Underground Jam Cologne 09

    September 21st, 2009

Underground JamCologne’s Underground Club has been frequented by BMXers for over 15 years.

Last weekend saw the first Underground BMX Jam, which will hopefully become an annual event.

Old and new school riders alike made good use of some makeshift ramps, party people were catching some last minute summertime rays and a DJ was spinning smooth tunes all day long.
    Good times for sure!

Check out the clip for proof!
