bib_gobigorgohome_webFirst riders update & registration for the open qualifyer GO BIG OR GO HOME online

Munich, Germany June 16th, 2010 – The international BIKE EXPO tradeshow does not only host the second edition of the BIG IN BAVARIA dirt jump competition, but also an open qualifying event called GO BIG OR GO HOME in Munich. Some of the big BMX names in dirt jumping already booked their trip to Munich from July 22nd to 25th. Overall 20,000 Euros prize money are waiting for them.
All ambitious rookies can register for the GO BIG OR GO HOME pre qualifyer on http://www.gobigorgohome.de . The best 10 riders will make their way into the BIG IN BAVARIA comp the day after. Take your chance to compete against the pros. To get an impression, what these guys will show, please take a look on the official BIG IN BAVARA Vol.II teaser here

The BIG IN BAVARIA Vol.II turns the BIKE EXPO into the center of the dirt jump scene: The biggest prize fund in the dirt jump sport in Europe, a course featuring a big starting tower including a step down jump, a line of huge doubles and some of world’s best riders.

The list of international BMX riders that can’t wait to make their way to sunny Bavaria includes American Ricardo Laguna, Dane Searls from Australia or the British Ben Hennon and Bas Keep. Germany will be well represented by the BMX icon Markus Hampl and Simon Moratz, who surprised last year’s BIG IN BAVARIA spectators and judges with a great performance and got third in the finals.

biginbavaria_1_joshhult_superwhip_byyorrickcarrouxAll the ones, who want ride in Europe’s biggest Dirt Jump comp, have the chance to secure themselves one out of ten qualifying spots for the BIG IN BAVARIA by attempting the open qualifyer event: The GO BIG OR GO HOME is open for all riders that want to go big. The dirt line of the GO BIG OR GO HOME is smaller than the BIG IN BAVARIA, so it will be a nice warm up for those that qualify and will hit the big jumps. Just register on http://www.gobigorgohome.de and you are in.

If you don’t want to compete at the GO BIG OR GO HOME, the BIKE EXPO is worth a journey anyway. It’s the overall combination of the the biggest bike brands showing their newest products, the BIG IN BAVARIA Vol.II, GO BIG OR GO HOME and a diversified side program that make the BIKE EXPO the place to be for the bike industry and all dirt jump fans from July 22nd to 25th.

    Rambazamba 2010

When it comes to street jams in Germany, there is no better event than Rambazamba. Every year riders from all over come to Erfurt to ride the city’s best spots and 2010 was no different.

With Bruno Hoffmann and other shredders in attendance, things got pretty wild really fast.

Markus Wilke captured the action of an awesome day of riding for us.
    Check it out!

Open Dutch BMX Dirt Jump Championships

    June 7th, 2010

onk2010posterwebYo! Bart asked us to post this info for all of you out there. Read it and get ur ass over there:

It doesn’t matter where you’re from to enter the Open Dutch Dirt championships that are on the calendar for Sunday 13 June 2010. It’s an open event for everyone who wants to ride a dirt comp. If you’re used to ride one of the jams in the South, prepare for something different. We won’t be giving out prizes to random tricks done on the course, this is serious shit. Registration, practice times, judges, single runs, MC, are you getting nervous yet? The top three will be receiving a huge prize package donated by the sponsors of the event but you will have to go out and show what you’ve got this time.

The Helm Trails have received some new dirt and the locals and friends are working hard on the makeover. It’s looking good already. Practice for the event will be possible on a daily basis from 17:00hr - 19:00hr. leading up to the comp so get your tricks dialled before it’s time for your run. On the day itself, practice is possible from Noon - 14:15hr. The championships kick off at 14:30hr. We’re also throwing in a long distance competition this time. You will have to get those leg muscles spinning to reach the longest distance possible over a little kicker jump with a flat landing. This should get interesting.

Now where is this place? TomTom owners, type in Helmond, Netherlands. Street: Johannes Vermeerlaan. The trails are underneath the cycling bridge in Helmond Noord. Next to the new canal. Follow the signs if you have a hard time finding it, or better, print a routeplanner now and don’t get lost.

    Program:
    Registration: 12 - 13:00hr
    Practice: 12 - 14:15hr
    Start Contest: 14:30hr

Starting time Long distance jumping championships: 16:30hr.
