    BMX from Poland

    March 31st, 2009

wiosny_jamA few days ago we featured the new eZine called “Loked BMX” from Poland. Since soulbmx.tv is about bringing the worldwide bmx scene a little closer we were stoked about when Tobin told us about a Jam which was going to go down the following weekend and he would deliver some film material.

Well, it took place last weekend in a nice looking warehouse near Wiosny. I´m not too good in Geography so no need to say that I can´t tell you where Wiosny is. But, thanks to google maps and our lovely soulbmx.tv spotmap I was able to locate it somewhere between Warszawa and Karkau.

So check out some fire-jumping, tailwhipping, beer drinking madness fresh from Poland!

Looks like they are having a lot of fun! Thanks guys!

    Have a nice day!

Carhartt Ravage Tour 2009 - Gran Canaria Roadtrip

    March 25th, 2009

woozy_ravage_09Dominik from woozybmx sent us over this amaaaazing clip of the Carhartt Ravage Tour to Grand Canaria. Its fresh out of the works and features the likes of Stefan Lantschner, Bruno Hoffmann, Owain Clegg, Ben Hennon, Hannu Cools, Arthur Dietrich, Paddy Gross, Barry Koehne and Benny Paulsen. The spots look pretty sick!

Before you press play on this baby be sure to grab yourself a beer, a bite to eat or a fresh brew - this one is 22 Min. long and worth every second of it! Dominik has done a really good job in editing and filming this one!

Ohhh … where is the sun???!!!! … I want to go to Grand Canaria!

Also: Check out Stefan Lantschners Crib on the Island - damn!

    Check the clip

The streets of San Diego - with Stefan Lantschner

    March 20th, 2009

    lantschner_sandiegoFriday!
To head you off into the Weekend get stoked with this nice web edit of Stefan Lantschner (Carhartt, Eastpak) flowing through the streets and some parks of San Diego.

He spent some time with Christian Rigal there who filmed and Edited this little diamond. By now people should know about italian Stefan Lantschner and his riding so I won´t mention the words “clicked, smooth or full speed” so check it for yourself.

And by the way, Stefan, I really like your yellow shirt - wanna sell it / swop it ? ;-)

    Have a nice weekend everybody!

    Loked BMX Magazine from Poland

    March 20th, 2009

    lokedmag1Yo!

We just got a Mail from Tobin, co-Editor of the brand new e-BMX Mag “Loked BMX”. He writes:  “Our website works since a year and it is the source of news for Polish bmx kids, after this time, we decided to make a magazine that will be something more, which will include reports from contests, galleries, interviews, etc. The first issue, outs in two language versions, Polish and English and it contains interview with Darryl Tocco, Simpel Session 2009 report and much more! Take a look at both, the magazine and the site”

Uptil now, at least here in Germany, you didn´t hear an awful lot about the happenings in BMX in Poland. Hopefully this is about to change. The eMag looks pretty nice and is full of good pics and words. What is really impressive is, that the guys behind Loked BMX eZine made the effort to translate the whole thing into English! And this is also probably the most fun thing about this eZine: The style of the translations really made me laugh out loud a few times. NOT because of bad translations (of course its not exactly Queens English, but who cares  anyway?)  but how they translated some stuff and the way it came out ( “..no, I prefer riding in a helmet ..” !!)  .. a very very funny read!

So get ur ass over to: www.bmxmagazine.pl and check it out!

Also, expect more stuff from Poland in the near future here on soulbmx.tv !

    Miłego dnia!

    Oldschool BMX Reunion

    March 18th, 2009

oldschoo_reunionDamn - just by looking at the attendee list of this Event you can imagine what is going to go down. There are so many legends listed there I don´t know where to start:

From Mike Dominguez, Bob Haro, Brian Blyther, Dave Voelker, Eddie Fiola, Dennis McCoy, Ron Wilkerson, Bart De Jong to Leigh Ramsdell, Mike Escamilla, John Povah, Simon Tabron or Jim Cielencki - they all are going to be there. I even spotted a few of german big names amongst them: Stephan Prantl, Guido Hinz and Andy Zeiss.

If you are planning to take the ride, this is probably bad news: Its invitation only! And if you are missing some names on this list then keep in mind, that everybody invited has to be older than 32 years of age.

The Reunion is going to be held @ Woodward West on Friday, March 20 until Sunday, March 22.

For more information and a good interview of the organizer of this event (Steve Swope - Vert Legend!) which Brian Tunney did for ESPN  check this site or Steve Swopes site.

Well, hands down for these people!

And if you want to know what Woodward west lookes like in Action check this sweet clip!

    Have a nice day!
